Beach Safety and Water Scarcity

My name is Rajahni Marshall, during the Summer of 2019 I was tasked with presenting and speaking to children between the ages of 4 to 12 attending a government camp at the Samuel Jackman Prescod Institute of Technology. I presented on the topics “Beach Safety” and “Water Scarcity” which are problems that plague our island Barbados. Equipped with digital technology, I had an interactive session with the children. I truly enjoyed the interactions with the children, I was intrigued by their ideas and beliefs. This experience was eye-opening and quite fun because of their willingness to speak and share their opinions. For this being my first time presenting to such a young audience it was extremely enjoyable and our interactions made it less nerve racking and I was able to comfortably introduce them to the topics of “Beach safety” and “Water Scarcity”. Due to this I have gained the confidence and experience to perform future presentations.
