What is Project Discovery?
Project Discovery Inc is a Non-profit Company registered with the Corporate Affairs and intellectual Property Office of the Government of Barbados, under the Companies Act of Barbados. The Company No. is 31456. The date of registration is December 22, 2008. This company has designed a community service learning programme for students of Caribbean schools.
Vision Statement
Project Discovery exists to be a model of Community Service Learning, engaging participants in decompartmentalized learning with an integrated approach which optimizes information and experience to revolutionize the perspectives and opportunities for young people while focusing on sustainable development and environmental best practices.
Mission Statement
Project Discovery exist to facilitate the total development of students at the pre-university stage of their development; to build clearly defined bridges linking academic development to community-service and to make students more globally aware, culturally literate, civically engaged and responsive to the needs of others.
Programme Structure
Project Discovery is a community service learning programme. It is comprised of five major components. These are:
