President

Cameron Augustine

Cameron Augustine, at age 23, works as an administrator at the Dominica Youth Business Trust, assisting a clientele of local entrepreneurs. A position he has held for the past 2 years. Beyond work, Cameron desires to develop himself further and provide opportunities for success to Dominica’s youth.

Cameron has obtained the sit of Presidency with Project Discovery Dominica and intends to use his administrative and business skills to lead his executive through various projects, geared at developing Dominica’s youth. Apart from business, he is also an animal lover and a Boxer.

Looking ahead, Cameron aims to inspire young Dominicans interested in business and entrepreneurship to have the confidence to enter this field of work and succeed. He is of the view that entrepreneurs must have a keen interest in problem-solving, to resolve many of the current problems in Dominica’s economy. As well as to be proactive in their approach of starting up their business idea.

He encourages others to “Just go out there, put that business plan into action!”

Vice President

Kayanna Edwards

At 19, Kayanna Edwards is diligently pursuing an associate degree in Agriculture at Dominica State College. Her academic endeavors are marked by a steadfast commitment to excellence, evident in her goal-oriented and self-driven approach to learning. Beyond the classroom, Kayanna actively participates in community service and environmental initiatives, demonstrating a holistic dedication to both her studies and the betterment of her surroundings.

As the Vice President of Project Discovery Dominica, Kayanna not only showcases her leadership skills but also emphasizes her commitment to sustainable development and community engagement. Rooted in her love for nature, she navigates her role with a passion for fostering meaningful connections, evident in her participation in social events and cherished moments with friends and family.

Looking to the future, Kayanna aspires to become a hydroponics specialist, reflecting her forward-thinking mindset in agriculture. Her vision includes contributing to innovative and sustainable farming practices, aligning with her narrative that weaves together academic prowess, community engagement, and a visionary spirit. Kayanna's journey stands as a promising trajectory towards a career in agriculture and environmental stewardship.

Secretary

Sherniker Anthony

Sherniker Anthony is an Eighteen-year-old Business student in her 2nd year of majoring in Business Management at Dominica State College. She shows great passion for business which led her to receive an award from Business and Professional Women for being the top Business Female during her completion of high school. Sherniker loves volunteering and is committed to serving as a supervisor under the Dominica State College Environmental Club.

Having joined Project Discovery in 2023, Sherniker is devoted to the development of herself and the Project Discovery Team. Serving as the Secretary of Project Discover Dominica, Sherniker is confident in her role and continues to utilize her knowledge and skills to advance the goals of the executive.

She intends to acquire skills from her stint as Secretary of Project Discovery Dominica, that are not passed on in the classroom from student and teacher interaction.  Sherniker is looking forward to making an impact in the lives of others as she steps out of her comfort zone to advance her skills and the youth in her country.

Treasurer

Racquel Leblanc

Racquel Leblanc, is an 18-year-old student at the Dominica State College, who is pursuing an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering. She has developed a strong sense of community and youth advocacy. She desires to motivate Dominica's youth and get them to do something positive with their lives, as she exclaims that too many of the youths are involved in drugs, partying, and illegal activities.

Racquel is enthusiastic about working with Project Discovery as it presents an opportunity for her to contribute to the welfare of others while also acquiring new skills. She currently serves as Treasurer on the Project Discovery Dominica Executive.

As far as future endeavors are concerned, Racquel wants to become a Medical Engineer. She takes pleasure in reading and engaging in mathematical activities.

Communications Officer

Geyoudena Desir

Geyoudena Desir is a Student at the Dominica State College. She majors in biology and

hopes to pursue a Medical Degree and specialize in neonatology. She dreams that one day every young person will have the opportunity to pursue their positive dreams and soar to their highest potential.

Geyoudena is passionate about nature, environmental, and societal development in Dominica, these interests motivated her to join Project Discovery as a Communication Officer. For these reasons, she also has become a force of motivational support to her peers - Her motto for life is, “I believe, I pray and God does the rest”.In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching movies, and eating delicious meals.

Geyoudena’s aim as the communications officer is to encourage her peers and the country at large to commit time to community service and to facilitate the holistic development of the young people.
